Jaipur to be a part of the ‘Gold Tourism Circuit’ in India

Indian jewellers have welcomed the proposal hosted by the World Gold Council to create a Gold Tourism Circuit in India for the sale of Hand crafted jewellery. The impetus is to promote exquisitely manufactured handicraft jewellery as compared to machine made jewellery.

This will give a boost to the artisans involved in the said manufacture and increase an influx of domestic as well as international buyers of this intricate jewellery.

The initial cities which are planned to be developed to meet the burgeoning demand of handcrafted jewellery for the Gold Tourism Circuit are Jaipur, Kolkata, Ahmadabad, Surat and Coimbatore.

There is a huge demand for handcrafted jewellery as the same is 100% unique and cannot be replicated easily. The World Gold Council Vision 2020 foresees a five-fold business growth by the year 2020 from India alone.

Jaipur is also a favorite destination for gems and jewellery lovers other than just gold jewellery. It is also a well known heritage city that is frequented by tourists for visiting the world famous monuments, forts and palatial gardens.
