Though the tourist season is yet to begin from October, but
that has not deterred local as well as foreign early bird tourists can be seen
visiting the markets and tourist places in Jaipur city. Now that the Navratri
festival is going on, a lot of fanfare is being given to the Garba aka Dandia
Raas dances that form an integral part of the festival. Women and young girls
can be seen decked up in their best traditional costumes of ghagra cholis and
lehanga cholis, while the men and youth in Dandiya Raas costumes comprising of
Kafni pyjamas and Kediyu kurtas. The 9 day festival is full of colorful people,
dancing in joy to garba tunes with dandiya sticks - an awesome sight indeed to
behold.
While enjoying this traditional festival in the heritage
city of Jaipur, wouldn’t it be a wonderful choice to stay at a heritage hotel
