Jaipur Readies for the Festive Season with the Start of Navratras Magical Nights

Though the tourist season is yet to begin from October, but that has not deterred local as well as foreign early bird tourists can be seen visiting the markets and tourist places in Jaipur city. Now that the Navratri festival is going on, a lot of fanfare is being given to the Garba aka Dandia Raas dances that form an integral part of the festival. Women and young girls can be seen decked up in their best traditional costumes of ghagra cholis and lehanga cholis, while the men and youth in Dandiya Raas costumes comprising of Kafni pyjamas and Kediyu kurtas. The 9 day festival is full of colorful people, dancing in joy to garba tunes with dandiya sticks - an awesome sight indeed to behold.

Night Tourism to start by November in Jaipur

Good News for all tourists coming to Jaipur city for a holiday or repeat visit. The Tourism Department has finalized plans to start Night Tourism in Jaipur by the coming tourist season starting from November this year.



Now the major sightseeing attractions will be lit up with floodlights so that tourists can visit their favorite spots at night also. Security arrangements will also be made to secure the well-being and safety of the avid tourists. Normally these locations are closed down by 5 or 6 pm and many a tourist has had to return back home heartbroken due to not being able to see the attractions within the timings of the day. But now these monuments will be open to the general public till 11 pm daily.

It would indeed be a sight to see for one and all. Normally people have seen the places during the daytime, but seeing the same sights at night would be charming in itself.
The beautiful monuments of City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, the famous Birla Temple of Jaipur at the foothills of the Moti Doongri fortress, the impregnable fortresses of Amer, Nahargarh and Jaigarh along with the beautiful gardens of Kanak Vrindavan and Sisodia Rani ka Bagh would present an awesome treat to the beholder.
